The ladies in the shop educated us by telling us the story about how an ice cream scoop used to be called a DIP and of course the original ice cream parlor decor is a dream.

After a long day volunteering cutting down burned trees in Cohasset, our very dirty strike team needed a boost. Shubert's was a perfect way to end the day. Great Ice Cream, great Milk Shakes, great selection of candy and Truffels!

Best ice cream ever. and I always go on Valentines Day to get the best chocolate in the area for my sweetie. It's off the main road but worth the search.

It's delicious, local and they have comfortable chairs along the sidewalk in front of their store. The seating out front is nice on a Summer afternoon or evening.

Love this Chico icon! So happy they usually have peppermint all year round (my favorite)! Flavors do change, seasonally, and there's almost always a new one, too. Employees are always helpful and polite, too!

Hands down the best ice cream store in Chico. I love their ice creams, and I generally get a scoop or two after a good meal. Salty oak’s been my current favourite, with a tint of salt and chunks of chocolate, it’s a perfect blend for me. I’ve heard that their mint chocolate thins are delicious too, I’m not a big fan of that combo. But, everyone I’ve known, just love it. I’ve heard that their lemon custard ice cream and cookies n cream taste good too. Oh and don’t forget their root beer, heard that one’s… one of a kind! You’ll also find yourself surrounded by their collection of chocolates, stickers and souvenirs, apart from the ice creams. Go stop by if you’re in town!! Update: my friend who’s a big fan of chocolate covered mints, loved their chocolates! Almond fudge: The base isn’t too chocolatey or sweet, it’s just right and the nuts balance the ice-cream well. But salty oak’s still my favourite.
